Jan Daly, Special Education Consultant (SPELD SA)
Presents: Resilience and Self-Esteem

Brain research clearly shows that negative emotions, such as anxiety, anger and depression, place us in a state of alert - fight or flight – hindering us from learning. We all need to be comfortable, relaxed and confident to focus and learn. This practical workshop through the use of a range of interactive activities provides participants with the means to equip children with the strategies to develop positive self-esteem, resilience and a growth mindset. These aim to enable them to overcome obstacles, meet challenges assuredly, feel included and happy, and continually learn, developing into calm, optimistic and self-assured young people.

Suitable for parents, teachers, SSOs, tutors and pre-service teachers.

Pre-schoolers to Year 7.
